My Budget "Close Enough" shirt.

Post by CalMusquez »

Got this shirt at TJ Maxx for about $15. Figured it was close enough except the color. So I went to JoAnns and picked up some "taupe" color RIT dye and plan to dye the shirt quickly so it only gets a light shade rather than a darker, deeper shade. These pics are a bit off. The shirt is much more white than it appears here and the dye is less tan than it appears.

I could also get some extra fabric and stitch on the pleats, but I'm a bit too lazy for that, and also misplaced my sewing machine when moving. Maybe I'll do that in the future.

Looks good! I have a few of the Cabela's ones in different colors as an alternate.

Here it is post-dye. I like the way the color came out. Next to an index card for white reference cuz it looks a bit different in the picture vs real life. And next to my close enough pants to see how they contrast.
