I know it's not big news, but I recently acquired two Mark VII bags and two Make It Jones aged Raiders straps. One each for me and my son. Snapped a couple quick shots at work of mine.
For the last couple years, I've been using the "Ninth Gate" bag, which is a repro of a French ammo bag from 1935. I love the thing, and originally got it from a place called Schipperfabrik. Apparently WPG acquired the existing stock of those if anyone's interested.
Be wary of the thinner webbing that attaches the steel rings to the bag. Mine looked fine but were rotted and gave way when the bag was in use. I had mine repaired with the webbing replaced with leather which has held up since. They make a great everyday and travel bag.
Cotton, or even nylon, webbing is not hard to come by if you need to make an eventual repair. I've had my WWII era bag for nearly 20 years and used it for several years as an EDC and haven't had to make any repairs. From the pictures, it looks like you have a winner there.
