What Price Glory Holster Colours

Hi All,

I tried searching COW for info about the What Price Glory holsters, but what I'm after either isn't there or I can't find it.

I'm considering adding an Indy holster to a WPG order I'm about to place, but I'm having trouble choosing between the Indiana Jones Style Holster http://www.whatpriceglory.com/shopexd.asp?id=3736&bc=no and the Raiders Leather Holster http://www.whatpriceglory.com/shopexd.asp?id=5277&bc=no.

My question is whether the Raiders holster is as orange in real life as it looks online. I'd prefer a darker brown, like on the Indiana Jones Style Holster. Does anyone have any experience (or pics!) with these?

PS: I've been lurking on & off on the forum for years, but I just looked and this is my first post in about 10 years. Crazy!

The WPG Raiders holster is as it looks in the photos. It's a well-made holster that can probably be easily "fixed" with some brown shoe polish or brown Pecard's.

Maybe I'll go with the Raiders holster and brown it up a bit.

I just got mine in last week, it was tight, so I soaked the holster in warm water and wrapped the gun in the plastic that came with the holster and had to pull and tug until I was able to get the flap closed and the strap to lock it down and put it up to dry for 3 day's. Now no problem getting it to close and it fits my 1917 Smith. Notice it came in fast took about a week and comes in from Dubai, give them a home address and not a P.O Box. The color is close to I guess burgundy.

To be honest, both holsters look good. I think I may go with the "orange" Raiders version and try darkening it myself.

I just received my "orange" Raiders holster from WPG, and I have to say I'm pleased with the colour. While it's definitely not a chocolate brown, it is more brown than I was expecting and I think it looks great! (Although I'm still going to give it a polish with some brown polish.)

Here's a picture of the holster now that it's been wet blocked. I'd say it's actually slightly darker in real life than it appears.

I think I may hold off on darkening with shoe polish for now, as I'm getting busy than other stuff. I would recommend the WPG holster. It's not as orange/red as it appeared online to me. Success!
