One of the snaps on my bag came off and I was wondering if there was any way of fixing it. It's my favorite Indy bag bc it's been with me to MANY of the filming locations, so I'd like to keep using it instead of going to one of my backups. Any help is appreciated.
Yeah, I was running and looking for something with my hand on the loop that holds the strap, and it ripped and the strap was hanging from the side. I need to get it repaired, so does this guy have a website or something we could use to contact him?
Not sure exactly what happened to Wade, he seems to have dropped off the site some time ago. There's a hole that needs to be filled on this subject.
Some MKVII last for ever while some sub-come to dry rot, broken snaps and the like.
Have you thought to check and see if there's a company in town that works on/replaces auto upholstery and convertible tops? You're talking about a simple canvas repair here. A lot of them also work on banquet and camping tents, so they may be able to do the work for you.
I work part time in a cobbler shop as a cobbler's apprentice and I can tell you that cobbler get a lot of repairs like that for replacement of snaps and minors work on bags and luggage and all manner of leather goods as well as some heavy canvas. snaps, rivets, eyelets, etc....
you may want to look around for a shoe repair shop or cobbler in your area.
you can also find snaps and rivets and eyelets local craft stores like Joann Fabrics and AC Moore and Michaels
