I've been mulling over what leather and style for my next jacket and I'm seriously thinking about getting a standard off-the-peg Raiders, possibly in predistessed hide. I'm not such a fan of the Hero fit, having owned one, and I quite like a heavier leather than "fashion lamb".
Anyone have a Wested in predist.? Thoughts? Pics? Do they hold up well? Age well?
Any fans of Wested's predistessed hide?

Yes, but personally I think it suits an LC better.

Very nice! Is it very heavy?

Yes. I'd say the weight is comparable to Wested's horsehide. The jacket has a good, solid heft, while still quite soft & flexible. It's good stuff.

This one might be slightly lighterweight version of the pre-d. Though it still does feel substantial, especially if you transition from the lamb to the pre-d cow.

I have a Wested Raiders in pre-distressed (can't post photos at the moment). I love it. I also have one in lamb and although I think the lamb is probably more screen accurate, I find I wear the pre-distressed more. I think the distressing gives it a more "Indy" look even though it's not strictly accurate. I also like to wear my jackets when not dressed as Indy and I find the lamb to be a dressier jacket while the pre-distressed goes great with jeans and a white T-shirt. I will say the lamb is softer and more comfortable but then again my pre-distressed is still pretty new and breaking in. The Cow Hide is thicker and stiffer (also has more of that traditional leather smell!).

Not out of the box, but with a bit of encouragement it soon starts to look great.
