Let us know when it comes in.
I'm interested in the thickness of the sweater.
I bought one of the Old Navy ones last year and was disappointed how "chintzy" they were.

Sean

Re: MOTB Cardigan
I originally went to the store in the mall, and found the sale was for online only. But I had the chance to try it on, not a very thick cardigan by any stretch, but will do for a CS.
I'll post pic's when it comes in, just don't get mad cause they'll probably be to big. Photobucket distorts the pic when you adjust it to the required 640x480. Any one else having this issue and has found the solution.

I'll have to look at that, I've always uploaded, edit, resize. Didn't realize I could do this before the upload. Learn something new every day I always say. Thanks Tundraider.

Has anyone bought the Duluth one? The photo looks thick.

Why does this one have to be so expensive?

Re: MOTB Cardigan
The picture of the model wearing that AE sweater seems to make it look sort of thin. I would not mind that since we do not have very cold winters down here in SC...

Re: MOTB Cardigan
It wasn't very thick, it's scheduled to show tomorrow night, so I'll post more pic's then and give an over all revied.
personally I don't like em to thick as it'll feel bulky under the leather jacket.
we'll see how it does when it cools down, which it's doing these day up here in NH

Re: MOTB Cardigan
First off, a big thank you to Tundraider, I see what you were talking about, about putting the size in the settings for size.
Now we'll see how it works.
Ok, my review, it's a A O.K. cardigan, not heavy, I went with a L cause my stomach tends to stretch it at the buttons.
I rolled once at the cuffs.
Color I like and so far is my closest SA, you'll see in the last photo my collection, few browns/tans and two grey, hey I gotta have something to wear with my grey fedora.
We'll have to see how it pills, praying for only a small amount as my tan Banana Republic pilled dreadfully. By the way, does anyone know how to get rid of em.
Label says 100% cotton, and the weave isn't tight, nor to loose.
Feels comfortable, but I was wearing it in 70deg weather.
Here's the pic's. Outside.

Well Iwent in and adjusted it to the 640x480, and as you can see when I changed the top pic only, now it looks squatish, and I just don't know.

I have the Duluth one and it is almost too warm to wear with the jacket. Great sweater though. I have never been disappointed by anything Duluth.

I live in CO, so it stay a balmy 35 during the day and sunny most of the time. The Duluth sweater is lined so you stay pretty toasty in it. I may order one of the thinner ones for cold days here

Be glad none of ya'll live in Marylandistan! Its in the high 80s-90s all summer with humidity well into the reaches of "FISH TANK". We dont go by percents. Its either dry (70%) sticky (80%) or fish tank awful (90%+). In the winter we can get buried in snow and freeze our buns off. Or it can be 60 in January and confuse every living creature around. Ive seen my box turtles come out of hibernation and look at me with a confused "what the heck is happening" look. Indygear is tough to wear here from April-September because of the oppressive humidity. I dont wanna stink up my jackets. But nice links, some of that looks like good stuff.
Gosh I cant wait til we move to CO next year.

I hear ya, ChrisMD. Up here in NH, we have some of that ol humidity too. But I like it, reminds me of that time in Puru.
Seriously though, I still wear my hat every day, no mater the weather.
And this sweater will be nice and perfect under my US Wing SL lamb.

Just saw this on the Black Sheep Ltd UK website:
http://www.blacksheep.ltd.uk/jacket.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
£115
Looks good, can't justify it just now though, sadly, as I just bought a Harris Wool roll-neck from Aero.

It's worth the effort to pick one up, as it's a very good close enough.
While the Duluth looks to an awesome sweater, I'd be concerned with wearing in doors, I wear mine all day long when the building I'm in has that cold feel to it.

Magnoli carries both the (LC) Officer's Tie and (MOTB) Wyoming scarf in addition to the cardigan.

I went to buy the American Eagle version, but sadly the postage to the UK is nearly twice the sale price of the cardigan. For £45 and change, plus possible customs charges, I may hold out for a home grown version.

Went out and had the misses take some pic's today what with the snow we just got, but when I try to upload to photobucket, they won't upload, I just get the circle thing just spinning around.
I've tried different things, but no luck. Has anyone else had any issues.
Uploaded the pictures from work, so I know it's my computer blocking it.

So, what's the best 'close-enough' that's currently available? The links in this thread are obsolete/sold out/etc.
I can't afford a Magnoli, but it'd be nice to get something soon - it's COLD out there.
I have other sweaters, including a nice 'Indy-esque' pullover (nothing special, I just like it and it goes nicely with my Wested) but I'm ready to upgrade to something more screen-accurate without breaking the budget.
BTW, Croft, those are some good-looking pictures! Looks like fun!

I can see the that the AE is sold out in L (on line) but you might want to try a local store, ya never no.
I was going to snag another L, but I waited to long.
The AE is the first one I came across that was reasonably priced as was close enough.
And thanks, I love it when I can get the misses out to help in my obsession. Her camera is far better and she can do the multiple shots, so I can pick the best shots. It's fun.
