Really good site. It says the S&W HE2 .455 was the primary Canadian sidearm in WWI. There are still a lot of these guns floating around in Canada - a gun store close to where I live currently has two of them for sale. I may buy one someday, but if it is still complete and original I'd be reluctant to cut the barrel to make an "Indy gun" out of it due to its historical significance. Maybe one day I will find one that has already been butchered or refinished, then I will have the makings of an Indy gun.
