KT,

I've sent a few to Gemma and Peter, thus my frustration.
Mmm, have you tried sending from a different email address? Last option is to try phoning. Skype perhaps?

Update: So there'll be no Skyfall jacket pics. I finally received it and the front panels of the jacket are two slightly but noticeably unmatched shades of brown.

I will say that aside from that, it was a very nice jacket with a slim waisted, athletic cut.

Packed it for a return. :?

Too bad ! A few pics would have documented this " Wested soft antiqued sheep " that KT praised so much .
Now it will be hit and miss for another one here ;)

I like the grain VERY MUCH.
And the color is the best I've seen from Wested in years.

If I would order an Indy jacket from Wested, this "soft antiqued sheep" would be the skin.
(Raiders or LC style...perfect for a Last Crusade, IMO)

The site says washed lamb. Is this your skin, KT? It looked like Pre-D or some facsimile from the first photos you posted.

Hi Tex that photo is the new washed lamb (the soft antiqued one I was talking about!) :). The leather on my jacket is a thin antiqued cow.

I understand that they have some new arrival called, "washed sheep." Would this be the same skin? Usually lamb is generally the real soft and smooth skin, and sheep is perceived as a rougher grain, more rustic. Is that your recollection?

Yes, it's light weight sheep, feels exactly like lamb! It has a grainy texture and is slightly warmer in colour than authentic brown. Hard to capture on a phone cam.

Hi guys,

I want to add a caveat. This leather can look quite warm and reddy brown in certain light. It's awesome. But if You were looking for it as an Indy leather I want you to be aware of that.

It looks different in every pic... sorry!

Image

My new hero, slightly longer body and my stumpy arms...

Image

Awesome grain.

Image

L-R Thin cow, washed lamb, original authentic brown lamb and Antique cow (front).

This WASHED LAMB (or SHEEP...whatever) is the best Wested leather I've seen.
And the color is just perfect.

KT, on that new Hero, do you have your pockets "tweaked" a bit? Looks different from other Hero jackets.
BTW, congratulations on your new jacket.

Kind regards.-

I'm in full agreement with Indiego. This looks like the best leather out of Wested. KT, what did that cost you? It looks nicer than the shrunken lamb Wested uses. Any chance Peter will add this to his regular line up of leathers for the Hero jacket? Guess we'd have to ask the man himself. :TOH:

It is as it comes, except for back length and sleeve length. I didn't ask for any other spec changes. :)

How is different to shrunken lamb? Looks like some of the SL heros that have been shown.

So this is what she looks like after wearing it for a few days... plus a hot water shower.

The bottom pic is closer to what the colour looks to the naked eye.

These pics would do well in the "Hero" thread.
It's a shame that everytime Wested get hold of an interesting leather, the colour is too light.

I just received mine last week and it is beautiful! Hide is the greatest looking hide I have seen in a long time! All matches perfectly and this 'puppy' drapes really well, right out of the package! Plus, it fits like a jacket! I truly like this one! It's a keeper, for sure! Peter even did the sleeves in cotton for me! What really amazes me is the fit! For being an of-the-rack, offering -- it fits like a custom-made Wested! , , on this one :TOH: ! Thanks to Gemma, Peter and company! Good Show ;) ! W>
