Gloves..

Post by MARQ »

It´s not that important part of the gear,at least to me,but here´s something that looks close-enough...WORK GLOVES,three styles in the middle

just received my gloves from Todds Costumes. Very nice. Got the clean ones so I can distress them myself with normal wear and tear. At first they felt tight, but after wearing for an hour or so they gave a little and feel very comfortable now. Great gloves at a cheap price.

Quick question pdraycott, tell us about the stiching on the back of the glove up by the rist.
Is it straight or zig zag.

Thanks, Croft

NIce, are those Todds, if they are they must be from his first run, as the stich pattern on the back is more to screen acurate.
Thanks for sharing the pic's

I'm gonna have to get me the 12 pack!
THIS is how you distress gloves!
Find a pile of rock that needs to be dug out and screened (by hand!) Then move said rock from one pile to another.

4 pairs of gloves later, 1 ton of river rock was out of old walkway.
Screened to separate dirt.
And moved to a pile out of the driveway. (To be dealt with at a later date!)

Just ordered a 3 pack as well.

Site still says Larges are on backorder, so I expected a wait, but they shipped right away.

Allllrighty then.

Looks like these 'close enoughs' weren't close enough. I guess the size Larges now come with a dark brown hem?

Don't fret about the hem color, there's a member who bought those same gloves and bleached the hems to match the gloves with very little effort. I think it was Holt.

Wal Mart has some 1130's Wells Lamont's for just under $10. They have the reinforced palm though. Tired of looking at every hardware shop I walked into. It's gets a little annoying.

Thought it was time for a bump...

Decided it was about time for a new pair of gloves.
Went with the WK-Y1022's from Gloves-Online.
They're made in India, colors are a bit all over (nothing that some distressing won't cure...)
but overall not bad.

Funny thing is they come unpackaged, and except for a little tag in one of the gloves, you wouldn't know what brand they are.

Thickness, they are about on par with my WL 1133 pigskin.
We'll see how they wear.
For the price, I picked up 3 pairs ot hold me over.

I'll probably bleach or just teat off the brown seam.
