New (to me) Joe Strain...

Post by Zuiun »

Earlier this week I acquired a nearly brand new 10 foot Joe Strain (my understanding is that it was made/purchased in May of this year).

The whip is in excellent shape and still has some breaking in to do.

Needless to say, I'm pretty thrilled. Trouble is, my yard isn't quite big enough to comfortably use a 10 footer (which is why I prefer 8 or less). But I'm heading to Colorado for the weekend and planning to take it (and a few other whips) with me, both to get some cracking time in and hopefully find a cool spot in the mountains for a pic or two... :D

Lol! Joe definitely earns that name. I think his work is one of the best out there.

I've got three of his whips; I'd have to say he's the best whipmaker of my generation...
