No, I was just adding my comment to what had been said regarding color differences. Specifically this line:
This is one of those deals where reality and fantasy don't reconcile - reality (what the real shirt looked like as used on set during filming) and fantasy (what it looks like on screen, and more specifically, what you think it looks like on your screen). From what I've seen, the real shirt that Peter had had a taupe hue.
Actual lighting colors will defintely change perceived colors of items.

I only have two of the current shirts for comparison, but personally, I'm OK with the color.

I did think it looked a little on the yellow side when I first took it out of the box, but the perception of the color definitely does change depending on the light. Outside it looks fine to me. Also, I know that with washings, sun and wear the color will fade.

(And like I said previously, I also know that actual colors and photographed colors will vary, so it's hard to say what the film shirts might actually have been - so it's a matter of going to real accuracy or perceived accuracy.)

For my money, the color is close enough, and the quality of the construction is pretty outstanding.

Now if you really wanted to impress me, Todd, offer the shirt in a slimmer fit.

Unfortunately, I feel that if I could see a screen used shirt in person that it would not match what I have seen on screen and most likely wouldn't like it. Todd, I own three of your shirts and love the construction, the feel of the fabric, and most importantly the price tag. It really is a great shirt. The only thing that ever bothered me was the color. Personally, the Raiders ensemble will be my fav. so I always judge from that angle. It's really hard to make a call viewing colors on a screen rather that in person, but the only other shirt I have is a WPG and in person, in natural sunlight, it really defines what i see on screen. As i have mentioned in a previous post, your last offering is capable of being re dyed as the prior shirts color is impossible to remove, so I will go that route to achieve my desired color. It's not an expensive process and is kinda fun to tinker around with. Good luck with "nailing" it next time.

The inescapable thing is that the Raiders shirt either looks "stone" color, like in the Salah's terrace scene, or it looks like this: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm691190528/tt0082971" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
what can we say, but that it is lighting, etc.

...and there's that darn SoC fedora that Todd needs to replicate, too!?? :P

Yep. That Cairo image is a new one to me - but the color looks a lot more accurate than most. That's the color I "saw" in my mind through the whole movie. I see a lot of "stone" shirts on guys that look minty green when worn under a jacket. The color is so washed out that it just doesn't fit with the warm "palette" of the rest of the outfit. Add to that how weird fabric is to photograph...

Yeah, the pic from that screen grab is pretty much what I go by for the entire film, also taking into consideration various lighting differences from other scenes that may alter what is "seen" on screen. Judging from the fabric comparison photo, it looks to me like that color would match your #7 or maybe even 10 at its lightest. My latest shirt from Todd's costumes appears to match #8, but could be 4,6 or 9 as well. The 1st generation "yellowish" version looks like possibly #3 or 4. Also, another point I wanted to make was that to my eye the current shirts look closer to the color of the extra's turban just behind Indy's right shoulder (our left)

WOW!!!....
Then pictures are tremendously deceiving. I hate to say it but I just can't trust an online pic. # 10 , held in my hands, in front of my eyes(and I'm not color blind at all), in natural light, looks not even close to my last shirt......unbelievable.
Well, Todd, pick a fabric color based on your instincts and best judgement and we will have to trust that. Of course, as I'm writing this, I imagine that is what you did on the first two runs so that last comment is in no way meant to be derogatory. I believe you do the best that you can do. Your shirt really is a good one. That's why I have three of them, but as the old song goes " I still have't found what I'm looking for"

Yeah, color perception is so weird. So much depends on what the color is next to. You'd also never guess that #13 is another vendor's Indy shirt. I don't know how I ended up with it, but I had it in my shirt pile.

I haven't been 100% happy with the color, either, which is why I keep hunting for just the right shade. I'm waiting for the "this is it!" feeling. I'm going fabric shopping tomorrow. I may just go shirt shopping. Fabric color looks different when it's made into a shirt than when it's just sitting on a shelf.

Well, Todd, if it helps you any, from that SoC screenshot linked to above, Indy's right arm sleeve in the shade is almost an exact match for Pantone 453, while the bit of the shirt in the sun on his chest is a dead ringer for Pantone 7499.

Good luck!

Oh, I just went back to reference the fabric line up and i have a pretty good idea whose shirt #13 is, but I won't dare hazard a guess out here in the open. Man, I'd love to see those samples in person.
