Nice, tough bullwhips, my friend!

I like the texture formed by the thicker cowhide. Seems to give a better grip. I see they needed heavy skiving on your part.

Are they heavy? From the video, they seem so. But in any case, they are very responsive and crack with ease!

Very nice! I like them. What was the weight/thickness of the cowhide that you used? Was it difficult to plait?

@Pete: the cowhide is about 2-2,2mm thick. Not that much difficult to plait.
It needs much power for skiving it free hands.
As cowhide is weaker than kangaroo hide, and although I cut -as much as possible- the strands dedicated to the end of the whip in the back of the hide, I made a slightly poor taper on my strands. I was too afraid to break strands during plaiting. So I took the option to drop strands rather than tapering down my strands.
Indeed I end those whips in 4 plait.

Does it make sense?
