Kind of late revival of this thread...
Indiego's fedoras are Spectacular. Extraordinary. A reel steal at $195!
this fedora made by Diego http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMWlVMaRUyk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
looks a mighty heck of a lot like this fedora by HJ http://www.theraider.net/showimage.php? ... ora_02.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , minus the taper in the crown and the rather remarkably wide brim.

That video posted is from our old blocks. About 2 years old (on video description says 2009).
Bash it's close to "Idol's grab scene". So, a slightly tapper must be on it.
Brim it's 2.75" (front/back) and 2.60" on sides. Standard Raiders.

However our new blocks are MUCH better SA.
RAIDERS new blocks, check this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_S5Gh1Vdi4

We're listening your opinions, it's the only way to improve our work.
Thanks, regards.-

#-o
Thanks for clarify.

What happens is that I am very critical, and I can see flaws on that 2 years old hat.
It's inevitable for me.

But, you see we improved our blocks on the last 2 years, right?
We put much effort into improving the blocks.

Thank you again.

Yup...I agree with Nick...This is a good example of why perhaps double reading and checking your posts can really help you reach something that HELPS you and those you're posting for...

I know that you meant to say "I thought your old block looked great! Your new one looks even better and I'd be happy with either!", but what you actually said was a little insulting...

We all know Diego has been working hard to get his hats looking better and better, and he has! The hats shown here show some great skill in seeing something that could be improved and doing it! The new blocks are wonderful, and the hats show some high quality skills for the prices they are selling at...I'd be happy with an Explorador, new and old block.....

Lets keep this on track eh? :TOH:

And please double read the posts to make sure they aren't rude in the future? ;)

First, thank you guys for your kind words.

I understand that sometimes is very difficult to express opinions in a few words. And especially in writing, where you can't show your gestures. Remember that english is not my first language, so I also suffer from problems of communication.
So, no offenses taken here. :TOH:

Listen, understand and accept all the criticism is the only way to improve on what we do.

Thanks again!

Let me help you with one point in the line of communication, my friend:

All CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcome. :TOH:

Sometimes folks just like to complain and pick at things because they can, and it does NO one any good..... ;)

Seriously Diego, I cannot find a suitable explanation for how...err..
Just how your hats SCREAM Indy.

I can't put into words how awesome your fedoras are. And how unique they are.
To be honest, I have never found a vendor who advertises a Toht style fedora other than S&J. And a fine hat it is I may add.
Diego is among the people whose products are UNcritisizable. Your hats are AMAZING just the way they are.

The only person who can see every flaw is the CREATOR. You may think that your hats have flaws, but I see nothing wrong with your hats.
Take the Raiders hat that was posted in this thread a while ago. I lOVE it. The EXACT idea of what a general Raiders looks like to me.
Sadly, there aren't many vendors who can nail that look...Marc, Steve, John are the VERY best at what they do. They VERY easily fit into that category.
Your hats are THE best for the money. $195 a pop is a BARGAIN my friend. Rather like Crease N Corral's Indy whips. Talk about More for Less!

Your kindness is very much appreciated.
But, in fact, I like criticism about our work. Because, were the criticisms which helped us to improve the fedoras.
Pushed us to rethink the correct shape of the blocks.
And to create blocks for each movie. Yes, we have a set of blocks for each Indy movie. A 2 year work.
iwantamorganreelbad1 wrote:The only person who can see every flaw is the CREATOR. You may think that your hats have flaws, but I see nothing wrong with your hats.
Like I said before, I am very critical. It is difficult for me to be completely satisfied, I allways find something...
But now I can say I'm 95% happy with our hats.

I'd like to show you how we have in mind the physical proportions of each person interested in our hats.
When someone contact us we ask, if possible, the height, weight, and even if not too much trouble, to send pictures to get a full idea of the physical characteristics of the person.
This way we can offer hats proportioned and according to the wearer.
The next is a great example. And thanks to Gary, who kindly agreed to let me post his pictures.

Take a look how the Akubra federation IV, in Gary's correct size, looks small on him. Completely off proportions.
But, the Explorador cairo hat looks much better. And even having different measurements to the hat used in the movie, has the general appearance of a true and complete Streets of Cairo fedora.

Image
Gary's Explorador '36 -Cairo-:
almost 6" tall open-crown
brim 3 1/4" front and back x 2 3/4" sides -approx-
the bow it's slightly larger too
size: 61,5 cm
