I took these this weekend. Lee offers the one on the right, but was thinking of offering the one on the left (they hold the same gun even though the sizes are different). Let him know which one you guys like better. Cheers
I'm assuming that Lee is going to be checking this thread for replies? I'll just go ahead and put in my opinion for whatever it is worth. I would definitely go for the one on the left.
Hmmmm. I like the flap on the left holster. It seems bigger in proportion to the rest of the holster, which I like on this style holster.
That being said, I like the back of the holster on the right. I like how you can put it on a belt without taking the belt off. It would be a little awkward to do so, but it can be done all the same.
Browsing some of the screenshots of ToD on theraider.net...it seems to me the one on the left is more screen accutrate in it's size, design, and manner in which it sits straight on the belt. I go with left as well.
I should have told Rundquist the price difference. The one on the left(new one) is $60.00 and the one on the right(current one) is $40.00. Thanks for the opinions guys. I need the input as I really don't want to stock both.
Here's a pic of Lee's Raiders Holster. Mine is exactly like it and it is great! It fits the 4 inch Smith perfectly.
Out of the holsters above, the one on the right looks more like my vintage Webley holster which, to me, looks like the LC holster. But the backside of the vintage holster is constructed like the one on the left.
Well, I can say I have an IMA which has a back constructed like the one on the right. I don't like because the holster itself is huge on me but that back construction makes it slide and shift around on the belt. Being that the holster on the left looks to have a less wide loop I'd think it'd be more prone to not shifting around. So my vote would be for the left, especially since the loop looks to be wider.
Now Lee refresh my memory, back during QM Summit last year, was the Webley holster you had then the prototype or just the first one you had made, I can't seem to remember. I have to say I have held the holster in my two hands fellas and like every peice of gear Lee offers, it is a wonder peice of craftsmanship, well worth, a reall class item.
