I got one for my first Indy hat. The sun in New Mexico turned it orange!!! It is a good hat if it is your first hat other than that it is not worth the money. I am not trying to discourage you about your hat just I would have gone with a Christies or Akubra.

Hey first I want to say welcome to the club! Yes I have one I use it for camping. I did get a Henry from John Pennman and it's the best hat ever.

I have one too. It's a pretty good hat for a costume. My next hat was an Adventurer from The Movie Shop, then a rabbit Raiders from John Penman. My Penman hat is great.
Re: my fedora from DisneyLand
I recently got one of those (a few months ago). It is what has started me along this 'slippery slope' of Indy fandom.
I've always been a HUGE Indy fan, but it was only upon discovering this hat at Disneyland that I realised how much more was available.
I love my hat and wear it often, but I can't wait to get an AB one! Or wait for my Wested jacket to arrive. Indy has it all, style AND functionality.
What more could anyone ask for? My first Indy emoticon!!!

welcome secret of the sphinx ! yes i had the "disney hat" as my first hat. it was nice for the price. i have since then have bought three hats from todds costumes , great hats too two downtowners and a uptownwer, soon you will wanta new hat so be sure o look at all the resources made available to you here at C.O.W. and soon you will have as many hats as most of us here have .
Re: my fedora from DisneyLand
I've got one. Honestly, it's not a top quality hat compared to all the high-end Indy fedoras, but it's good for the price.
Don't worry about all the expensive versions, or get too obsessed with accuracy - for now, just enjoy your hat and wear it well! That's all that matters.

Re: my fedora from DisneyLand
My first fedora was from Walt Disney World. I was sooooo happy to have an Indy fedora,I wore it everywhere, even to the top of Long's Peak (that's a story). Eventually, with all of my tweaking and fiddling with it, coupled with an Indy-obsessed three year old son, it got pretty well destroyed. I still have it, but it was replaced by a Dorfman, and that was replaced by an Adventurebuilt.

I used to trash those things like they were disposable when I was a kid. I live in Miami, so Disney World is just about three hours away. My parents used to take my sister and I up there a lot and I would always pick up another one every time. Finally, my parents said they weren't going to buy me any more so to take care of the one I had. My brother has that hat now. Lots of great memories in that hat. Enjoy it!
