Western Stage Props Blank firing Gun
Does anyone own one of these? Thoughts? Comments? I really want one of these it just looks awesome and it shoots blanks! I'm not into SA guns but I thought this one would be fun!

The company that makes them is called bruni and the guns (IMO) are not that great - they may work for a while - but the parts are largely cast and are prone to breaking. JMO

I've got one. Never fired it though. Pretty good weight and fills a Todd's holster nicely.

How loud are they? Real gun loud, or just cheap cap gun loud?
Re: Western Stage Props Blank firing Gun
Closer to a real gun than a cap gun judging by the size of the blanks I had for it.Indyzane wrote:How loud are they? Real gun loud, or just cheap cap gun loud?

Re: Western Stage Props Blank firing Gun
It can be as loud as a real one depending on the blanks you use - I think they take a .380 blank - in the film industry we use them with either a 1/4 load, a 1/2 load or a full load - mostly the 1/2's are good enough for what we do with them. On stage sometimes even the 1/4 loads can be pretty loud.Indyzane wrote:How loud are they? Real gun loud, or just cheap cap gun loud?

I used to have a Colt SAA version, it was really cool, haha, never fired blanks through it though.

Zane,
Here is the pic I promised you. By the way with these the barrel is not bored out all the way so there is no muzzle flash.
If you still want this one you can have it. Replaced this with these:

Nice picture thanks for posting! Yes I'll take it! The new ones are awesome! Sorry for the naive question what is muzzle flash? I thinking it's when the blank is fired there is a flash out the muzzle. (duh) I think I answered my own question. Thanks so much John!

Re: Western Stage Props Blank firing Gun
I just want to say what a gentleman and scholar G-Mann is!
As the post stated above I was thinking of getting one of these guns. After a few PM John has offered to send me his WSP gun free of charge! Seriously who does this type of kindness these days! G-Mann you the man! Please can I pay you?
I just want to say thank you John for your generosity and I really appreciate this kind gesture. I will repay you in some way! Thanks again.
Sincerely
Zane

Zane,
I do try to be a Gentleman as often as possible. A Scholar, No . This gun is a leftover from older days. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE PROPER BLANKS! Don't want you getting hurt. If you want to repay me, just pay it forward to someone else.
Cheers,
John

I'll second that!
John was kind enough to give me a Nurhachi urn as a gift when I was first moderating on The Indy Lounge.
Nice gun, btw.
