TMFR, ya I am really torn between the medium and the large. The medium when I first put it on, it does feel tight around the chest and shoulders. I wear it for a few minutes and it loosens a little bit in those areas. The only way I would go with a medium is if the jacket does loosen up quite a bit over time like an inch or so. I was told by Wings I should get a large, but I never gave height and weight just what I previously ordered on another jacket. Right now leaning toward a large.ThatManFromRio wrote:Hi IndianaChris711 , the new set of pictures shows really well the fit of both sizes .
I would say keep the medium , it looks perfect on you , but my ultimate advice is ... wait for Holt ultimate advice !

This is obviously a tough decision for you and I can understand why. Both jackets technically "fit" you; one has a snug fitted appearance and the other a bit more generous and comfortable looking.
I'm amazed at how a Medium and a Large can be so close of a fit and my guess is you actually would wear a size between Med and Large if there were one. The pics are great, though and tell a lot about the fit. What they don't say (and can't say) is how the jackets feel to you and how you feel when wearing them.
If you want a trim fitting leather jacket based on the Indy design, you got it. If you want a more comfortable jacket based on an Indy jacket, you got that as well.
My opinion is the Large 100%.It fits you like a leather jacket. The Medium fits more like a shirt.
Tony Nowak and I went back and forth over this same issue; I was trying to get him to make my jacket fit like a shirt and he wanted it to fit like a jacket. As the customer, I won and as the genius jacketmaker, he delivered. In hindsight, I should have followed the advice of the master.
So, when I was buying my newest jacket, I spent a great deal of time trying on the 44 and the 46, over and over and over...Took pics wearing both and looked at the pics over and over. Both fit me. In fact, a 42 probably would have fit, too, but I didn't even try it as I was going for a looser fit this time. I chose wisely, but it took some time.
Sounds like your gut is telling you "Large." Having Eric (Holt) confirming this is nothing to sneeze at, either!![]()
Once you've finished sleeping on it and have decided, then sleep in it! Wear it to bed as often as you can. Push the sleeves up to your elbows before falling asleep. Soon, it will feel more comfortable and as natural as pajamas. Wear it, wear it, wear it! Hold off on the water treatment. This can always be done later, if you still feel it's necessary, but conversely it can't be undone. So waiting on this until you are sure is prudent.
Though the sleeves might feel a bit long now, they haven't yet wrinkled and when they do wrinkle and "accordion," you will be thankful for the extra length!![]()
Congratulations! It was a wise decision to hold onto the Medium so you could compare!

I think you have pretty much summed my jackets just by looking at them, that is incredible

Don't worry about me, I never try the washer treatment, and if I do it will be further down the road if I want. I will try to sleep in it, it is a very comfortable jacket, I know that definately helps wear it in. Thanks for your help and really appreciate your guys advise.
I am sticking with the large, I will call U.S. Wings in the morning about how to go about the process of a return. I would love to keep both, I just feel like the large is best for me. It feels much like my U.S. Wings Hero jacket and it feels more like a jacket than the medium does.
