It will hardly surprise you to hear that this is my understanding of the situation. Hence the grumpiness of some of us. Whilst I wasn't actually interested in an import (although no one asked me when I was 'on the list' for a SL of any description) I feel like i'm being taken for a muppet with this story...

Oh..as for whether either of you are "missing" anything...

I wish I had a definite answer....but the image of thousands of Chinese in Indy jackets riding around on bicycles is pretty....ummm....well, hilarious!

My theory? (Disclaimer: this is only MY THEORY. I have no facts, just guesses and assumptions.)

I'm thinking that NO production line, Imported SL jackets were ever made. (Only the two prototypes and one custom made with extra large biceps

).

It makes me think of the whole super secret, never before seen calfskin jackets that never materialized. Sarge said that they were unable to source the calfskin to make those jackets.
Perhaps this situation has repeated itself in the form of Striated Lambskin?

(Also, perhaps this is the reason the release date for the US version keeps getting pushed back?).

Who knows? This whole saga keeps changing every week. I really don't know what to believe anymore. After that whole pre-order list fiasco, I just want my jacket and never have to deal with Wings again.

That's OK _. At this festive time of year everyone is prepared to make allowances... even for you.

Personally, I'm getting a kick out of the picture of Kelly sending you out to buy a vacuum after searching the web for one that fits within your medical restrictions. Thank goodness no-one's spotted a vacuum cleaner sitting in a corner of Indy's closet.
