Magnoli Custom Jacket w/ PICS!

Post by riothamus »

The UPS man brought me a present today! My magnoli custom Raiders/LC hybrid jacket!

Specs were based on a wested 44L with some minor adjustments since that jacket is a little large. It definitely fits more like a Raiders than an LC, but its GORGEOUS!

More pictures

Specs:
Model C
Dark Brown
New finish
Measurements from the 44L slightly adjusted.
Two-piece gussets
Second inside pocket (I'm a lefty) and I got a bonus smaller pocket on the right side as well! Good for cell phone!
All cotton body
X-box stitching and slider buckles as in Model A
Thin goatskin for a 3-season jacket and boy did they deliver on this! It's not much heavier than my Wested sheepskin.

More pics when I have time this weekend (and likely in the full gear).

Excelsior!

Nice! Looks like that skin should get nice and wrinkly (the jacket- not you!)

Methinks you're going to miss a little sleeve length in a few months....

Yeah, I'm thinking that the sleeves are a little short. I'm going to double check that they're the length I specified. If they are, then I have only myself to blame.

..and only getting shorter by the minute, I'm afraid... Soon, they'll be up to your elbows! :P
If they're not the length you requested, I'm sure Magnoli will sort it out asap...?

Yeah, based on the comments here and the fit, I went back and measured the jacket. Looks like I'm consistently missing 1/2" to 1" on pretty much all the measurements. That led to at least 1" on the sleeves. I've talked to Indy Magnoli and I need to send the jacket back for alterations, but this seems like it'll be a brand new jacket since it needs so many changes. It stinks because its beautiful, but it's not what I ordered. :(

It almost seems like I got sent the wrong jacket? I know at least one other member ordered right before me. I don't know if he received his jacket yet.
