From falls & poppers to plaiting & cracking technique, this section is dedicated in memory of Sergei, IndyGear Staff Member and Whip Guru. Always remember to keep "Celebratin' Life!"
Hey everyone, I'm new to the place and still have a lot of reading to do. There are so many pages of good whip info and great pictures I still need to check out.
I thought I'd post a couple pics of some of my work, let me know what you guys think. I'm always looking for constructive criticism, so please don't be shy
this is a 7 footer in 20 plait (3 bellies)
5 foot black & purple 16 plait (2 bellies)
6 footer in 16 plait with a little fancy plaiting on the handle (unfortunately my lack of photog skills make the handle pattern a little hard to see)
and out of all the whips i own roo kip or nylon his whip is the best one of all of them i had him build it as close to the jacka-delongis style as he could and it handles like a greased snake.
I had stoneman make the whip with a transition like terry jacka uses and this whip will put the tip right where i point it like a lazer and it is the fastest whip i own i can do multiple throws with both hands and it cracks without putting any power behind the throws but when i do power it KABOOM it sounds like a shotgun going off .
i have to say that stoneman knows what he is doing when it comes to building a whip and anybody that orders a whip off of him will not only get a whip that they can be proud of but he is a good and honest man the deal with and i will be ordering more off of him in the future.
I was wondering how that one was holding up, it was the first one I did with the stiff transition running out so far. I'm glad to hear you're still enjoying it!
happy cracking
thanks, Tomek. I do have a domain purchased, but I still have to get around to finding someone to build a site on it for me. Hopefully there will be a White North Whips website up and running by the end of January or shortly after.
