US Wings Kids Raiders Jacket ***pics added***

Post by scot2525 »

Sarge asked me to post this information regarding the Kid's Raiders jacket.
Hello Scott,

How have you been ? Here comes the good news and please pass around because this Jacket is for all of the Young Indy Fans! What I did was down size the Actual Legend Pattern to Kids sizes.. The Size Chart is the same as what I already have on our site for the Little Indy! Then I took a very nice Leather made of High end Hand aged Cow 1.0 M/M I wanted the leather to look like our Hero leather…. Scott our Retail on this Jacket is $ 149.95 and I felt offering it to the COW members only at below my cost would not only be affordable But would allow the Moms to resale the Kids Legend on eBay for more than what they paid for them in a year or two… You know we all talk about how much we love the Hobby… Well My Friend this is Our way of doing our part! The Jackets will be ready by Dec. 1,2010.

Okay, I get it. I was thinking the low price was a cow members deal, but the jacket was a general offer. If they offered them in long sizes, I'd definitely get one, as that'd probably be the PERFECT fit for me  Maybe the niece will be interested in one....

OK, I'm a little confused now. I emailed Wings asking specifically what was the ordering process for one of these, and what is the COW member pricing, just to make sure I understood everything right before I continue trying to talk my wife into a few of these for our children. The email I got back, though, is as follows:

I will have to get with our web master and have them put up and then when
the Kids Raiders Legend is up You will have to call in on our toll free
phone number and if outside the USA e-mail us and then we will give the
amount for PayPal and or western Union.. Outside the USA we will offer COW
members half off the shipping.
We of course cannot put this information on our site for the world to see.
Sarge

So what is the deal? Have I misread something? I see in this thread that Tennessee Smith mentioned the COW pricing at $75, or basically half of Retail, but the way I read the email I got from Wings, it looks like the jacket is full price, and only after it is actually up on their website can I order one and get half-price shipping. Can someone please explain.

Oops I just answered the thread but I guess I made a mistake!
COW members will be able to order and pay $ 75.00 plus S/H and if the COW member is outside the USA I will cut the shipping in Half.. It is important to help each and every COW member in these tough economic times.
I am sorry for the misunderstandings.. I have CVR and all my words run together.. I am 100 % blind in one eye and have a visin problem in my good eye but I feel it is very important for me to be active in My business.
If there is ever a question please call me.. My Home phone is also listed and has always been.
Our ship date for these Raiders Legend Jackets are before Dec. 1,2010 BTW Retail price for this Jacket is $ 149.95 that means You will be able to wear this jacket for a season and sell it it on eBay and make money if you wish.

Great deal on these kids jackets. I bought my son a Wested a year ago and he is 10. He frequently asks if I will get him another Indy jacket once he outgrows his Wested. This will be the fix for that. I am glad it is being offered near the holidays.

Thanks for the clarification! Is this to be a rather permanent COW member price? My wife and I are having a hard time deciding the right size for our sons and daughter.

The new "Old World Cowhide" Kids' Raiders/Legend jackets pics have been put up. These are a run of the Kids' Legend jackets that Sarge had made out of a relatively small batch of old cowhide leather he found that's around 30 years old. The smell alone will get you! If you're gettin' one of these for your little Indy for Christmas, you better have a GOOD hiding place-the smell is THAT strong. I have one of the few samples he sent out hanging in my jacket closet to give the REST of my jackets that "new car smell!"

Anyway...just thought I'd pass it along here since a thread had already been created for the Kids' Jackets....here's the link to it. Looks good to me!

http://www.uswings.com/kids.asp#KLGNDCH

Edit to add relevant info:

These jackets are also eligible for the COW discount making them roughly 75.00 USD....just call Wings to make the order and make sure it gets through. Limited run of these, so....if you're thinking you want one for your little Indy, might better go ahead and call pretty soon.

Regards!

Any of you guys know the chest size in inches for the kids Raiders jackets?

Before any one asks I have shot US wings a e-mail,Sarge has been back to me. But the man who knows,Myke, is very very busy and has not had time to get back to me.

I know he'll answer my question when he gets the time, but do any of you know the inch size for the small and medium?

The pass word at US Wings is: I am a member of COW! Then you tell them what you want and what being a member of COW receives... Cut and dry! That puts you ahead of the line and also gives you any and all discounts. If you do not wish to phone in your order just write in the remarks on your order form that you are a member of COW! FYI... Michaelson and I put together this understanding for COW members 15 years ago and to this date still stands. If there is ever any misunderstandings what so ever.. I am only an e-mail away. Now on the postive note!! I did in fact turn down Disney and some others over the Kids Legend Indy Jackets due to the fact that COW members Family come first with My Company and I can not supply both.Of all the jackets I have ever made for the past 25 plus years our Kids Legend Indy has to be the best deal ever and just for a little FYI they are being sold way under our cost... When you see and feel the leather it will blow you away.. High end all the way.

My son's jacket arrived today \:D/

I had to send him to his room then run to the bedroom to open it. It's absolutely incredible!!!
I have no idea how to mask that smell!!! It smells like a potpourri of leather and love.

Sarge, you really out did yourself with this one.

Sarge I sent you a pm.

My sons jacket arrived today as well. My wife sent me a few cell phone pictures so I was pretty excited about it when I got home. The jacket is outstanding. I love the dark brown color of the leather and the smell of the jacket. Now for a confession, this was supposed to be a Christmas present but my wife and I decided to give it to him already! He loves it!!

When he first saw it, he asked "Who painted my jacket darker?" We informed him it was a new jacket and he starting looking at it more closely and said "I love it, can I sleep in it ?"

Don't know why he would think it was acceptable to sleep in a leather jacket. :- :-

Almost forgot, despite the description on Wings website, this does in fact have the side entry hand pockets.

I would think no unless you have a really big 3 year old Keith. I purchased the original lil Indy style for my son in a size small at the age of 5. He is now 7 and it is beginning to fit him as the jacket should.

One of them came yesterday, and the other one is on the way....it's been two late nights in a row with work, so I've not had the chance to open the box yet...hope to get to it tonight...but, from what I'm reading, I already know what I'm going to find!!!!

It is greatly appreciated! :H:
When Your Little Legend comes make sure you do not try and put it on!! That has to be the best jacket in the World!!

Now, that would be a site if I tried it! Reminds me of that movie Tommy Boy... "Fat guy in a little coat, Fat guy in a little coat" :rolling:

I tell you what today I received the horsehide A2 today and it is superb! Beyond my expectations which were high. Old School Cool! Highest honors for that Sir!

I'm starting to itch pretty bad for that Bison Legend now! Now that I've seen the horsehide, I can just imagine what Bison would be like! I have some more Christmas shopping for the Family first, then we will see!

My wife and I are excited to see the Indy Legend for the little guy too! He is going to go nuts!
It truly is a pleasure doing business with you guys!

I received the Kids Legend jacket yesterday and it is awesome. I hung it beside my Hero jacket last night just so it could soak up the smell a little. I love the color, more of a darker, greyish brown, very Raiders. I'd love to have a Legend cut from the same skin!

My daughter is going to love it!

Thanks again Sarge! You really went above and beyond!
