Riding in Aldens?

Post by Tron7960 »

Anyone else ride in their Aldens?

I've found them to my favorite boots to ride in. (haven't taken the road to Berlin yet but around here they are doing the job!)

Yes. They're all I ride in. Course, they're mostly all I wear! I have some with lugged soles which are good on potentially slippery surfaces and wet leaves and such.

Be careful when riding a motorcycle in any shoes/boots with laces. You'll know what I mean the first time you attempt to put your foot down at a stop and a lace loop gets caught on a footpeg.

I ride in mine every now and again, but then again, I do just about everything in my Aldens!

I dropped a bike once when the heel came off my Alden's when I put my foot down!! Also, I get shifter peg mark on my Alden's. And I ride in the rain (and thankfully only once in the snow), so I need something weather proof, so now I wear regular motorcycle boots.

Occasionally when I'm riding somewhere where I'll be walking/hiking/standing for awhile and I'm not packing alternative footwear, I will break out the Aldens.

Yes, nice Triumph!

Oh, here's an old picture where I'm wearing Alden's!

I've seen this photo before, and it always makes me smile. :D

That little one sitting in front of you looks they're thinking, "Dad, you got me up for THIS!?" :-s

Cured that problem. I'm not worried about bike specific boots but I ride everyday and sometimes I want to wear something a little nicer. There are a couple of different versions of these now, but this was the only one when I bought it.

And it's good to see all the Triumph love. I ride a 2000 Thunderbird.
