Re: Never argue with a man carrying a Webley
What's with the bandolier? Same as when you see a Mexican bandit in a western. Allways armed with a pistol or two, with a bandolier full of ammunition thats clearly way to big!!!
Got to ask, what film is it from???

No you don't.
Trust me...
Still don't get how the man who made Deliverance (John Boorman) went on to Zardoz and Exorcist II consecutively. What happened there?

It's a good thing his mommy put a fresh diaper on him before he went to fight the space-bad guys.

No doubt. The whole thing feels like a comedy. Even finding out where the word Zardoz came from is funny.Gater wrote:oh c'mon! A giant floating head barfing up guns! What's not to love??BaptisteTheFool wrote: No you don't.

Except once you find out, you can't click your heels three times and remove it from your memory.

Here's a thought: Indy, cleaning out his dad's house after Senior's death, comes across this photo.

That photo proves that you can be man enough to wear anything. I can't scratch my eyes hard enough to erase that from what I have seen that is so painful.

He was either thinking; "the rents due" or "the next bullet's for my agent".lantzn wrote:Oh Sean, what were you thinking?!?
Actually, if you look at his filmography, he's been in a lot of bad movies.
Re: Never argue with a man carrying a Webley
One interesting note: he's supposedly carrying a Webley Fosberry revolver. The Webley Fosberry was a rare variant; a semi-auto revolver. The frame is a two-piece design. On recoil, cuts in the cylinder cause it to rotate, and the hammer is cocked automatically. You don't see them very often, and they are pretty valuable now.

Maybe he was trying to shake the James Bond association.

"Meteor"!Serial Hero wrote:Actually, if you look at his filmography, he's been in a lot of bad movies.
With a few exceptions ( "Highlander" comes to mind ), the years between Bond and "The Untouchables" were definetly the dark times.

It's one of the murder weapons in The Maltese Falcon tooM1917 wrote:One interesting note: he's supposedly carrying a Webley Fosberry revolver. Medicine Man comes to mind! My brother and I went to see that and actually walked out! People were booing it!
