Rest In Peace Alex Green

Post by BullWhipBorton »

Very sad to report news of Alex Green’s passing. Alex was a professional whip coach, stuntman as well as a friend and mentor to many of us here. He was probably best known here for his tutorial videos "Whip Cracking Made Easy I & II" but also for his work in a long line of films, most notably "The Mask of Zorro" and his involvement with the old Wild West Arts Club and it’s yearly conventions. Alex passed away on Tuesday, July 20th from liver cancer; he was 68 years old.

You can see Alex Green’s profile, credit list along with a video of his work here.

Whether he influenced us directly or indirectly Alex Green has our respect and appreciation for all he has done, and for his work in the advancement and betterment of whip cracking. He will be greatly missed but not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, Happy Trails Alex.

-I mentioned this in Lao Che's prior to this post - Alex was a friend of mine and I had worked with him on several different gigs as a stuntman. He will be missed.

How unfortunate as I never got to meet the man. I would have loved to have met him at some point. He has left behind quite a bit of work to remember him by. :(

Such sad news... it was him who taught many of us to do the Queensland Flash.

Rest in peace, Alex.

Wow, I was just catching up on the posts from the last two months and found this. Such sad news. Alex was a talented man and I wish I had the opportunity to meet him. I think I'll have to go home tonight, break out his whip and give it a crack or two.
