Smaller Webley Holsters???
Is anybody aware of an authentic or repro holster that looks like the Indy Webley holster, but is smaller? Or any information that I could make use of for searches?
Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
They did make .38 caliber Webleys and Enfields for a time, before going over the the Browning Hi-Power. Try searching for .38 caliber Webley holster in your search engine. Good luck!

Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
So far, I only get the webbing holsters for the .38, plus a bunch of .455 holsters. Still trying.
Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
Depending on how badly you want it, I bet Wade could make you one...

If a custom becomes necessary, I know of a few options - including Wade and Jake.

Thanks Kyle!
Here are a couple of comparison photos of the smaller holster I made and a full sized version. Now that I have a pattern I can make these in any size.

Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
Quite nice. I'll be talking over options with the wearer-to-be soon.
Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
Solent,
As I posted elsewhere (if not, I definitely should have) that I'm very impressed with your work. I'm not up for a ToD holster, but I plan to be in the future, and I'm heading your way when I'm ready.

Just out of curiosity, may I ask why you are looking for a smaller version?Chewbacca Jones wrote:Is anybody aware of an authentic or repro holster that looks like the Indy Webley holster, but is smaller? Or any information that I could make use of for searches?

Smaller gun maybe? I have an old SW .38 that fits perfectly into the raiders holster, but the TOD/LC/KotCS holster swallows the thing! I am watching this thread very carefully myself.Indiana Joosse wrote:Just out of curiosity, may I ask why you are looking for a smaller version?Chewbacca Jones wrote:Is anybody aware of an authentic or repro holster that looks like the Indy Webley holster, but is smaller? Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
Perhaps the wearer is smaller and wants a holster not as tall as she is.

The neighborhood around the Chocolate factory is getting a bit dangerous as of late. The Oompa-Loompas are planning to start packing heat.

Seriously, though, it is about a gearhead of smaller stature. A normal Webley holster looks rather near enormous on her.

In fact, a normal Webley holster could double as a sleeping bag for her!

Carefull what you wish for....
Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
I have an original WW1 or 2 brown leather holster that is a bit smaller than the normal Webley holster. We can discuss a price for it if you're interested? Please PM me.
I bought it some 10 year ago, I was a bit dissapointed when my Resin Webley wouldn't fit in it. Here is a picture of it with my old S&W resin gun. As you can see the S&W is almost more suitable in size than the Webley for it.

It was likely used for the Enfield No. 2 in .38. Generally you see web/canvas holsters for that gun, though the officers no doubt used leather.

Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
This is pretty much what I was hoping to find, but as Bink points out, most examples are the webbing type. PM enroute, Kredepops.
Re: Smaller Webley Holsters???
I took some new pics of it alongside my Wade Egan TOD holster. It's definitely much much smaller.
