Aaron hats

Post by Aztec »

Aaron Hats out of North Conway, New Hampshire has closed it doors (maybe this past March?) Packed and gone, no announcement, no note on the door. Looks like they still are taking orders online, though. :-k

Wow, they didn't make it very long. Very sad.

Hopefully they can still make a go of it online. However, I can't imagine that there's much of a hat market in that area, so a storefront in their location didn't make much sense in my opinion.

The actual stores are an endangered species, and on-line business seems to be where hat sellers make their money. I hope that is true for Aaron.

Hmm.

I just tried to email them via their website, but info@getahaton.com just bounces back as if the address doesn't exist.

Does anyone eles know of an alternative email address short of calling?

Hate to hear of Aaron losing the brick and mortar. I am sure the recession killed his business. Fedora

I will miss my monthly trips into his store, and I'll be up there at the end of the month. It's the small businesses that get hurt the most.

It seems to me that the pretty much the only hat stores that have a fighting chance to stay alive in the business world (in most cases, as this isn't always true), are western wear/cowboy stores. I've yet to see an actual hat shop in person beside one of the above mentioned stores, not that they aren't good. I like the western stuff. :TOH:
