Identifying a david morgan whip

Post by mechinyun »

Hi guys, i was wondering if there are any sure fire ways to tell "this is a david morgan" whip. I know other makers out there make extremely good whips that are very close if not identical to the Morgans. Im considering purchasing a David Morgan from a person and i want to make sure its the Real Deal.

Thanks!!

Greetings,

Well, you could call up David Morgan, and tell him the persons name, that has the whip,
with his extensive records, he'd be able to tell you when the person in question purchaced the whip, or not :D .

All the best.

You can look closely at the handle, a real D.Morgan has about 11 "squarres " on the handle more than 13 is not one ! and the squarres are real squarres not "diamonds" shape !
for exemple a Joe strain whip has more than 14 "diamonds" on the handle !

You can send me a picture as well. But there are many posted here in this forum. Also check the pictures at the main Indygear site. After seeing the photos, you get a feel for what is a Morgan and one's that are close. Also, check out my Raiders Whip post in this forum as well. I think I went into detail to all the major elements.

Sergei has seen and handled more DM's in person than me and I have close to 250 david morgan pics, so I'm sure one of us can identify it.
