I was just browsing L.L Bean's site and noticed an omission from their spring line up, the Field Shirt. I own one in a blue that's no longer made, but is the shirt itself no longer made?

It seems to come and go from their lineup. Maybe it's on sabbatical.

Last time I saw that they had any, there was only a few colors, including this odd 'Cement' or something-or-other. (no 'Tan', as the old IndyGear site recommended.)

I've actually never seen it out of the lineup, but often in limited colors.

Closest thing I saw was something called the Maine field shirt. Only comes in a cement like color and green, sadly. Thank goodness for Cabela's.

LLBean does that omn a fairly regualr basis it seems. Especially wheh the war weather comes around.
While I personally think it was always one of the best "close enough" shirts, they have been hit or miss over the last few years with quality adn colors.
Except for the epulates being a bit short, like Joyce mentions, the Cabelas is probably the best choice,
especially now that they have a 100% cotton version.

That Stone Blue isn't very blue. I find it's like a faded greenish blue. Nothing like the website pic.

Just don't hold the color against the shirt's quality. I have five, and they get lots of use.

Hmm, I never noticed that they had a women's version. How cool is that!

It's OK. A bit brighter than the website photo. And I would call it "meduim mariner" as opposed to "dark." Not my favorite shirt, but I rarely wear bright colors.
