last "piece" of the puzzle - my Inglis

Howdy,

I just grabbed this off of gunbroker:

Still in its original finish, never refurbed. Looks to be in terrific condition and, according to the seller, shoots very well.

Now I've got the trilogy: S&W 2nd Model Hand Ejector, Inglis HP, and a WG. I can die happy.

Don't get me started on THAT subject! There's a .22 Stoeger Luger that I'd like to pick up someday, but I have to locate one for sale here in California as they can no longer be imported here from out of state. :x Back on topic - VERY nice pickup, RaiderZee! :o :notworthy:  That Browning looks nearly factory new - I am officially envious. :) Image

Yes, as I discovered when I paid for it, it is an RCEME re-park. Not one of the 1963 factory jobs splashed with suncorite. Except for the numbers in black, it's pretty much like when it came off the line in 44-45, plus new springs. I think I got the best of both worlds.

Yes the Canadian Army refurbs are top notch. The British Army painted theirs

BTW, did you get just the pistol or did come with 'EIS' ? (holster, two magazines, cleaning rod, lanyard....)

Nope, just the pistol and one mag (1978). But for $600, I'm good with the deal.

BTW, a local gunshop has one of these in the original wartime finish, with one original mag. Asking $675. It's in good mechanical condition, but has a nicely weathered patina. I'm tempted to trade because I'd prefer an unrefinished original, plus mine just looks too nice for an Indy gun. Hmmm . . .

You could always tie it to the bumper hitch on your jeep, and drag it down a gravel road...that'd give it the look you wanted...
