My "Adventure Worn" Raiders belt

Post by generalFROSTY »

Not satisfied with the shiny-new look of my raiders belt, I did a little roughing up to give it the 'Adventure worn' look. I was originally posting ideas on ways to get a worn look in the gear distressing section but wanted to share the results here.
If anyone wants this done to thier belt but do not have the time I would be willing to do it free, just take care of postage.
Done with some work with a Dremmel, acrylic paints and Fuller's Earth:

I'm really happy with how it came out - just an FYI, if anyone wants this done to thier Radiers belt, I will do it free of charge, just take care of postage.
I will also be playing around with some distressing techniques with my other leather gear when it arrives. The boots I think I am going to let 'weather' on thier own, but I have used my FE on it and it looks pretty good. The FE tends to rest and stay put best in the creases and cracks of the leather and wipes off pretty easily in other areas. I dusted the laces and it really makes a difference in the overall appearence of the boots.
I'm really excited to get the rest of my gear and take some new photos to share. Again, without all the generous support of you guys, this journey would not have been as pleasent, fun or easy.
I gotta say, this message board is full of some of the most passionate, knowlegable and generous members I have ever dealt with - THANK YOU GUYS! :TOH:

You certain that was from dragging behind a truck or from being 'nuked' while inside a regrigerator  ! W>
