indy jacket revelation

Post by Toht »

I bet none of you knew this:

"The piece de resistance is the leather jacket, from Belstaff - which made the actual jacket in the film for Harrison Ford"

Pulled from this retarded article:

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... he_joneses

I found it funny, had to share.

Hey, that looks just like him!

...And by "him", I mean Steve Carell as Indy.

Very tacky, though I have to admit, I can understand why people passing by would have believed him to look like Indiana Jones. The fedora, the leather jacket with the logo, the color of the shirt, and the pants... it's all wrong, and not screen accurate by any means. It does kind of channel the "look," overall, though, I mean you have to admit...

Belstaff had that claim on their web site at one time for both the Indy and Mutt jackets.

Some fell for it I guess

All claims aside, I think it looks like a nice jacket. A little stiff perhaps, but the color is great. What sort of money would such a jacket sell for?

Wow....um. That just kinda......stupid. I mean paying that much for a jacket that looks like it, sure, EXCEPT FOR THE STUPID LOGO!!! Not to mention you can get a Wested for 300 or less and a Nowak for 700 or so.....and get the REAL thing. without the Logo.

I think the logo on the arm irritates me more then the claim or the pic.....

Well played sir.

Bink, my Dad had that T-shirt about twenty years ago...he was very proud of it. Thanks for the memory!
