SNAKEwhip

Post by louiefoxx »

Here's a whip that I made that was inspired something that David Morgan made for Will Morgan in 1971! You can see david's original creation at: http://web.me.com/johnleonetti/cracktice/122709.html#60. The original is a braided snake. Mine is a braided snake...but it's also a signal whip:

The head of the snake is where the heel knot normally would be:

The back of the snake is a plaited checkerboard pattern and the belly is over two...I think this gives it a more snake like look.

This was a fun project to make! Thanks to Will Morgan for showing me the snake to inspire this whip!

Louie, That looks pretty neat!

I wonder if you'll be starting a trend in snakewhips.

I might make another one of these snake whips that is a snake whip in the near future.

That's a great pattern for nagaikas (russian riding and fighting whips), it looks pretty cool Louie.
Here you are the nagaika with snake head - http://worldwidewhips.com/collection.ph ... em&lang=en
