My new Webley WG...

Post by Rook »

Finally took some poor pics of my new pistol. :)

I'll have to take some better ones when I get around to it.

The pistol is all original and the cylinder has NOT been shaved! yay!
The finish actually looks better in the pics than it does in real life. I'm
going to guess that there's maybe 50% original blue remaining at most.
It has the "old gun" patina. It's VERY nice and tight with no play anywhere
near as I can tell and the extractor works perfectly.

It was spendy, but it's authentic! :)

Very nice piece - congrats on a great purchase!  I take it this is the one you'll be using for your updated molds? And you're gonna fire it someday, right? I know ammo is kinda pricey, but you definetly gotta let the old dog bark again. :D Image

LOL, thanks guys.

Yes, I intend to one day let 'er bark. :)

It will eventually replace my 8000 series pistol in the moulding.

What's funny is some of the trades on the new pistol are shallow, so I'm
thinking of making a hybrid pistol for casting purposes, mating the barrel from
my 8000 pistol with the newer pistol grip frame. :)

That's the evil plan anyway.

Great WG. At last you'll be able to redo the part that was scratchbuilt on your REPLICA. ;)

Can you tell us where you got it?

Yep, redoing the side piece was one of the major incentives for picking it up.

Gunbroker. Someone else didn't want to let it go, so it went for more than I
initially intended to spend. Didn't quite get into "stupid money" range, but close. :)
