Hi Folks, and Tony. Since my quest began for Indy gear a few months ago with Tony, it's only fitting my first post be here. The above photo is the blue Tony Nowak sample he sent me. He literally can eyeball you in the sample coat, ask you a few questions, and then runs off to sew! I chose to post it in black and white, since the blue color is quite distracting. I have since mailed it back to him and am awaiting mine. I've run across the nicest people, in my quest, and Tony is at the top of a short, but growing list. Just so I don't leave my other new good friends out, ie: John Penman and Paul Nolan, they are up there with Tony.

I'm curious about this myself. Does Tony use CGI to construct the final jacket? ;)

Welcome, DetectiveJones! It's clear you plan to acquire some very nice gear.

TR and Satipo, thanks for the kind words. I just spoke to Tony Yesterday. He has been working like a mad man. He told me he had just finished up with alot of costumes for GI Joe and Iron Man 2, and some new Bruce Willis movie. He will be making my jacket this week. I'm so excited. I am like a kid in a candy store on this forum. I've been in and out of the other ones for a few months, but couldn't get into this one, based onmy freebie e-mail address. Jon Penman suggested I e-mail the admin and let them know I am a real boy, not a spammer. His suggestion worked! Anyway, I'm glad to be here, among the elite, and can't wait for the excitement for Indy 5 to ramp up. I will definately get pics up, when the jacket arrives.

TR- I discovered the Webley WG thread yesterday. Any of those replicas still floating around?

Dennis Quaid does wear a cool looking leather jacket in the end sequence, was hoping it was a TN.........otherwise a fair flic only IMO.....not on par with first Iron Man but that Sienna Miller is 'smokin'....... :- ;)

Detective,

Rook (Russ) has one of his WG Replicas on the Cairo Bazaar:
viewtopic.php?f=40&t=42159 However, he says that he has several offers to buy, but what he really wants is to trade for a whip. :whip:

You might send him a PM of interest anyway. You never know what the future could bring; for some reason one could come up available again like #27 did. ;)

As an aside, there are several other W/G replicas in the works right now from other members. Rest assured, your detective skills and patience will definitely pay off!

Michael :TOH:
Thanks, I found it previously. As you can imagine, I would like one very badly! I was considering a new S&W Model 22, and then a MK VI, but then this was brought to my attention. It would give me some "Authenticity", without the huge cost. My goal is to get everything purchased and delivered for this halloween season, that's why I went with the gear I did, zero wait. Which reminds me, now that I have a veritable expert's ear, I'll send you a pm.

Tony is pretty busy. I ordered a jacket from him on July 13, and he called me yesterday to confirm the measurements and let me know he's making it. (He also thanked me for my patience a couple of times and was emphatic that the jacket should meet my expectations and specs... however I wanted it is how he is going to make it. I just hope I know as much about how the jacket should fit as I think I do!)

Given the nature of Tony's business and the fact that all of his jackets are custom made, I don't think the wait is unreasonable at this point. Getting something custom made by a true craftsman is a treat. It may require a bit of patience, but in my experience it is well worth it....

Well, there's that, plus the fact that Tony also has quite a lot of "other" orders ;) It's not only the custom aspect: Hollywood is keeping him busy as well.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant by "the nature of Tony's business." While he gives us a lot of time and attention, I'm pretty sure we pale in comparison to his primary customer base....

Tony called me last night. Apparently he is putting the final touches on it, and it is to be shipped out this upcoming Monday. I picked the lowest still available number, 005/777. I chose the black stitching inside the black lining, just to make it more subdued. Definately will post pics when it gets here.

My TN "INDY IV" arrived the other day. I started a thread in the Jacket category. Please check it out over there. (I didn't want to get in trouble by double posting pictures!)

That's one of the things that's always impressed me about dealing with Tony.........he makes you feel like he cares as much about getting you the jacket you invision as he would about pleasing 'Bernie' when getting ready for KOTCS........

Yeah, I've been talking to Tony about another jacket. He sent me a bunch of swatches, but didn't send me the 747, which he is about to do.

I already have a Washed goat LC Wested, a ROTLA Lambskin Wested, and a TN CS, but I just really feel this urge to have a Raiders TN, probably in 747 Cowskin. I love my TN, but it's a bit too reddish and kinda light. I really want a DARK Raiders, but tough and rugged and custom. And Tony is the only man to do it . . . :TOH:

Darn this jacket obesession! Wouldn't be so bad if I weren't so obsessed with whips! :whip:

And hats! ](*,)

ARGGHH!!!! :?
