KotCS leather accuracy
So I'm about to buy my CS leather work from Wade (bag strap, whip holder, gun belt) and wanted to be sure on grooves for SA. What I believe is that the strap does NOT have grooves, while the whip holder does. Is that correct? Any screen caps would be much appreciated.

Re: KotCS leather accuracy
I think that if you tell Wade that you want SA KOTCS gear, he'll set you up no problem. What he has I believe is correct.
Re: KotCS leather accuracy
You are correct on both counts.

The KOTCS strap does NOT have grooves.
The KOTCS whip holder DOES have grooves.
Here's the proof I needed. Also, I have an 80" TV and I paused the DVD about a hundred times to check out ALL of the CS gear in detail. There are some other shots in the 'Making of KOTCS' book as well which clearly show grooves on the holder. Here's what you do:
This shot from The Raider.net is a nice large shot of the holder top. Swipe the photo to your desktop and then use some editing software to mess with the shadows and the contrast. The grooves on the holder loop show up very clearly. I got this trick from another thread about two years ago which was the final convincing I needed that the Raiders strap had grooves.

Hope this helps.

Re: KotCS leather accuracy
Thanks Wade, I will be in touch soon
Sidenote: Does anyone know how to tie the knot on the whip seen in the picture wade posted? It looks like 2 or 3 standard knots but its a little too fuzzy to be 100% sure.
Thank you all for the input.

Re: KotCS leather accuracy
Anthony Delongis told me that he showed Harrison how to tie the wrist loop in standard knots to keep it out of the way. Harrison liked it, ran it by Spielberg and they all said it was fine to leave it that way. They are just 3 standard knots.

Re: KotCS leather accuracy
Are there ANY pics of the full whip keeper from KOTCS anywhere ?? I have been looking but no luck !
Re: KotCS leather accuracy
You have to find the screen shots of the top, back, sides and partial shots of the front, then put them all together. Here is what I came up with from doing this. (Also, if anyone has the making of CS book there is a great shot of it in there)
It has two snaps so that it can be taken on and off without removing the belts.
Cheers,
