Does anybody know the actual sleeve length of the Chicago/Smithsonian jackets?
Could it be the same as HF CS Jacket? 26 Inch?

I called Tony the other day to see about the turnaround time etc. When I asked him the price I am sure he said $950. I know that members here have paid $750 for that jacket and hope that Tony was thinking of another jacket. I would love some clarification on this. I emailed him regarding this difference between what members have said they paid and what he says the price is, but have not heard back from him.

I am hoping I misheard him [-o<

I just talked with Tony.
So the price for the LC Cowhide has increased.
He didn't know that the leather would be quite more expensive. He researched it and that was when Chris maybe some other and me have already placed the order for the LC jacket. He said that he made an commitment to those people and so the price won't be increased for people who have already paid the 750usd for it.
But I'm quite sure if you ask for a LC jacket with the Indy4 Cowhide or any other cheaper leather? like goat.. the price will be 750usd. It's just because of the premium Italian Cowhide...
Sorry folks.

So is the LC in the Italian cowhide in fact $950?

And if that's too expensive for some folks (I'm not sure I could take the plunge again  ), I'll restate my assertion that the cowhide Indy G used for his Raiders would make a heck of an LC jacket. :P :D

Diffferent jackets in the movie.
The jacket with the cotton lining seems to have a silver zipper:

The one used most through out the movie has a brass one:

SO I think the promo shots had a silver zip and cotton lining.

I really can't tell from that picture. It could be 'gold-ish' or it could be nickel.
I was told the CS jacket has a brass zipper because that is what Bernie wanted, not the silver. I think the jacket that as used to develop the CS from had a silver/nickel zipper. What hasn't been confirmed is if the jacket was in fact the LC from the Smithsonian.
It doesn't bother me either way if the LC has a brass or silver zipper, but I do lean to the nickel. Do you know which is in fact correct?

No I did not miss it, but I have seen Hi resolution pictures of a cotton lining and it differes heavily from the dragon .... forgot the name lining. But like i said its the jacket from the promo shoot with connery where harrison sits below a standing Connery.

Here are a couple of additions to your thread.
The specs of this jacket have been discussed previously, but you may find the collar measurements interesting.
Image
Image
From collarstand seam to flap edge - 2 3/4". From collarstand seam to flap point - 3 1/4".
Image
Image
The buckle strap is 3" from the bottom of the jacket (IMO it should be 4")
Image
The pocket is 8" from piped edge to bottom and 6" wide. It is 3.2" from piped edge to pocket flap point.
Image
Cheers,
JTW.

Hey Holt what lining Tony offers is closer to the lining used in the film? Raiders or CS?
Because I don't want a maybe SA satin lining where I sweat my ### off in the warmer days of the year.

CS left, Raiders on the Right.

For me both linings are fine for a LC. But half, half won't be the way to go

That jacket is 14 months old.
It has undergone a series of distressing, renovating, re-distressing etc... not to mention colour changing with multiple applications of leather dressing, leather dye and furniture polish.

the jacket looks great but I know your not that fond of the lamb leather for a LC JTW.

if you ever decide to get another LC in the future, may i recommend the soft goat. IMO it has the thick lambskin drape that the LC jacket should have. pluss its a tad darker then the auth. br.

love that hide. Im getting one next week.

I know what you mean, Satipo and I were discussing this yesterday when we met to attend the Star Wars concert at the o2.
I wore my jacket and explained to Satipo that I was 90% happy with it.
Although we both agreed that the design, specs and fit are very satisfactory, the lightness in weight of this jacket does'nt befit LC SA. There is no problem with the thickness of the Lamb - only the weight.
Like yourself Holt, Satipo touched on the idea of goat, also of horse hide.
The ambition is to find something with a thin skin like that of lamb but with the heavier feel of a hide.

if the LC jacket had a nickel zipper then how can it look brass thru out the whole movie when caugth under different sets of lightning. Outside, inside, archive pictures. promo pictures.. etc.etc. I mean, you clearly can see the original color of the zipp in raiders and temple. why? becasue they used a silver colored zipper. In LC they used a brass zipp.

yeah,yeah,yeah... I know. some people say its the lighting.. but his strap buckle doesnt show of as brass does it? they are under the same lighting.

Sry for the bad quality. Maybe you can make a better screenshot of that scene.
IMO the zipper could be brass but the zipper pull was a nickel for sure.

 no, no, no man, do NOT believe what you are seeing here. you can barely see that tiny, tiny little top of the zipper that sticks out from the collar.....this IS missleading.

I am 100% sure that this picture was taken with a flash. dont you think that the tiny top of the zipper reflects the flash from the camera making the zipper look silver?

Maybe. But just watch the complete Castle scene till this scene:
http://www.bilder-hochladen.net/files/7426-24.jpg
It's a nickel zip for sure. When Indy and his father are bound sitting in this fake chimney.
Even when the fire starts you can clearly see it's a nickel.

why is that highly unlikely? you can see the flash at the top of the glass window. stand in front of a window and you will have the same effect.

okay, I am not saying that the chicago jacket doesnt have a silver zipp. how can I say it has brass zipp when I dont see it? it could have a pink zipp for all I care.... But I am not discussing about that jacket. that chicago jacket is not so much of any interest to me since I dont know if its screen used or not.

I am talking about the smithsonian jacket and Fords hero jacket. both of those two have brass zipper. I can not understand how people keep on doubting this when it is right in front of their eyes. you only have to watch LC and its there.
