These are just beautiful...They are the real deal, the case the quality the everything...perfectly distressed but in amazing condition with nothing broken, just p e r f e c t l y worn. :notworthy:
I think that even if you were not fussed about IJ you would want these....

Found them on the bay....search Colmont Binoculars....and wait. They were a pretty standard make and can be found in good and bad condition.
That being said, the naked eye does a similar job to these old things :-$ , but a nice prop nonetheless

That's a great find! They sure look the part.

BTW, is it documented that the LC binocs were Colmont? I've seen some Jumelles that looked pretty dang close.

There are a few pictures here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14592&hilit=binoculars which is also the thread I think you were talking about. The binoculars owned by "Lightning" are a very very close match but there are still some differences, it's probably the right brand but not the right model.
Although the binoculars model is not documented officially I think you have found the right brand, Colmonts ARE the closest I've seen

That is a nice find. SA? Maybe yes, maybe no, but who really cares that much? ](*,)

As to the screen accuracy of my pair, there's some distortion due to differing focal lengths of lenses in the comparison shots. I think they are more accurate than they look. Glad you found a pair with the leather intact. Mine was entirely missing the pieces near the lenses and the body pieces were torn and falling off.

The leather-less look of yours is just as cool Lightning, by the way I was referring to the lenses, the body of the eye piece look much bigger than what we see on screen but still a very close match. Don't feel shy to post more picture to contraddict me hehe, I'm always enjoying seeing these beautiful binoculars.
