I reckon I may as well sell this hat. So, if you are interested, check it out in the "for sell" section of COW. It's Harrison's size, and my size, a 22 7/8. Fedora

Amen, Dave! I was just thinking that as I read the intro to this thread!DR Ulloa wrote: If it was in my size, I'd gobble that up in a heart beat.

Thanks Steve, PM and Email on the way.Fedora wrote: Indy Blues, I just got in your rabbit body, so email me your head measurement again, and which hat you want. I think this is a replacement hat for you, and you kept the first one, which is ok. I think I saw something that did not look right on your first hat, and I said I would replace it. At the time, I had a hard time getting rabbit in due to a shortage that my feltmaker was seeing, due to China buying so much rabbit fur.
noticed the words written on the back wall. Could you please put me on the Rush List?
Yes, since LLS will be using rabbit, and I had just got in my new water repellant stuff, I thought this test would serve a dual purpose. I must say, on both counts I am very impressed. You mention that this was done using LLS's Raiders block. Is this "test" you did simply out of your own curiosity of how a rabbit felt would come out using the block or is this likely a "prototype" of the rabbit hats LLS will eventually be selling?
Oh my friend, you are too generous. I dig your bows too.I just wanted to come back in here and say that is the best Raiders bow I have seen.
Fedora wrote:To be clear, I will once again offer a rabbit hat, but I don't know when. I have too much on my plate right now, plus, I want to give LLS a good running start with is own rabbit Raiders fedora.
Fedora, 'tis true... you DO sometimes rattle on (I'm often just as guilty, especially in person) but MAN, is what you're "sayin'" MUSIC to my ears!Fedora wrote:Boy, do I rattle on! I reckon I just have too much running through my mind each time I post.
Me, too. Hey Steve, I'm tryin' hard to buy that one from ya! Would be my first Delk fedora, so I hope I win the sweepstakes! (yeah, I admit it, I'm jealous of all you guys who have one, two, or three of his already!) I had to have been one of the first to contact you, since I PM'd and emailed just minutes after you posted that offer...Indiana Croft wrote:Wow.
Does anyone no how to get Steve's attention?
I've PM'd, Emailed (couple of times) no response.![]()

Sorry to be the one to point this out to ya, jasonalun... but I think THAT ship has now sailed (I think you might be one of the fine folks - in BOLD - that Steve is referring to...)Fedora wrote:I reckon the hat has sold, as I just took the first email, as I got them in. Thanks to you other guys for the interest though, and there were quite a few of you. But, I have to be fair, and the first email gets it. Now, if he doesn't follow up within two days, I will sell it to number two, which is C. B. a very old and valuable customer of mine. From Ill. So, you know who you are. Fedora
Thanks Steve, I appreciate the update. I can't wait to check it out.Fedora wrote:Oh, Mike, your replacement rabbit hat I will finish up this morning and get her mailed out either today or tomorrow. I know you have waited for way too long on it, and I am sorry dude. Got you the 5 1/2 inch crown with the larger brim that your last one needed. This hat would be more film accurate with less crown height, due to the blockshape I am now using, but, it's your hat! Fedora
On getting up with me, I will look for your email Bruce. As I have said before, when I get hundreds each week, I have to make a choice of responding to all of them, or get the hats made and shipped.
Thanks Steve, I do understand how busy you are. Thats why I wasn't goin all crayz like.

As Dan said I do feel like "one of the luckiest dogs on the porch". Actually, the luckiest...![]()
Steve, thank you very much for the fine hat and quick delivery! I have been looking over this hat from every angle, because it has such a strong "Raiders" vibe going on. I have a Fed IV as well, and it is a fine hat, but it is the subtle nuances of this AB fedora that really set it apart for me and they are why this will be my go-to hat from now on. The fact that this hat is handcrafted by someone who has really made a serious study of what makes a Fedora an Indy hat is readily apparent and much appreciated.
Okay enough yakkin'. I am proud to wear this lid!
True! And that's why I will leave it as-is. I love the hat as bashed by the man himself! Mr. Delk knows his stuff.binkmeisterRick wrote:Or, leave it unturned and it can still be a SA Indy hat. Folks tend to forget not all Raiders hats had the turn. Cairo hat, yes. Temple scene, no.
