I'm really excited! I can't say for sure without seeing more pictures and close ups of it, but it looks exactly like the whip that I gave to Alex Green at the Vegas WWAC convention for the lifetime achievement award. The thing that doesn't make sense is that the "The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing" is from the early 70's, and also that whip is much too light colored natural tan to have been made that long ago. It couldn't be more than 5-10 years old at the most, and it would have had to have been hardly used and kept out of sunlight for the large majority of it's life to still be that light colored. So there is no way it is from the 70's.
Everything about that whip looks to me like my fall hitch, Knots, braiding, etc... that were on the whip I made for Alex. Is there any way to get more pictures of the whip to be able to find out for sure?
Hey guys...not sure if I can help - but I am good friends with Bo Hopkins who co-stared with Burt in "Cat Dancing" and I can ask him if he knows anything about the whip. I agree that it looks VERY new...
