Canadian Close Enough™ alternative & holster

Post by Snakewhip_Sable »

With replica gun laws becoming increasingly restrictive in Canada -very soon it'll be easier to get the real thing- I've had to settle for this cowboy heater for the time being.

I got the holster on epay from CostumeBase - it was inexpensive and arrived quickly from overseas.

The heater is a replica 1869 S&W Schofield which I bought for film and photo work. The cool thing about it is it fits very well in the holster!

It's brass and black with real wood grips, but they come in a silver as well. Anyway, it's another Close Enough™ alternative for those of us for whom Close Enough™ counts.... like me.

Here's a link to a larger picture.

If you're going to go this route, it's probably best to do it now because even these antique replicas will become illegal to import within 'a few months', according to the fella in the military store who sold it to me.
