Im getting the Wested washed Goat special edition (without the inner leather faceplates - slimmer style) and wanted to know the best way to distress the jacket without destroyting it.
If everyone was jumping off a cliff you wouldn't want to do that, right?
Don't put the washed goat in the shower. In fact I'd give it a dose of Pecards as it might seem a but dry, mine did at first but the Pecards made it superb.
Wearing a jacket in the shower, or better in a real rain, is fine (especially with new, smooth leathers) to wrinkle something or have it mold to your body, but the washed goat is nice when it arrives and I'd wait for real world use to take its course.

Raider S - Which pecard do you recommend for the washed goat?
I just used the normal Pecards leather dressing. If you don't want to darken the jacket too much, use the Pecards leather lotion creme. But I wanted as much water protection as I could get. Besides, it returns to its original color soon enough.
I know that this post is a year old...and im late to the party...but i recently purchased a Wested Washed Goat and the first thing I did was soak it in the shower and I am more then pleased with the results! I soaked it and let it hang dry overnight. Ofcourse it was still pretty wet the next day so I put it outside in the heat for a little bit. Once it reached the point where it was just damp I put it on and wore it and it immediately started to form to my body. The thing looks amazing for only having it a week!
