Todd's Custom Pics?

Post by Yojimbo Jones »

Hi all,

I've been trawling back through the archives to find shots of members' Todds Custom jackets given the likelihood that it may still yet be the most SA Raiders jacket on the block, but the vast majority have expired on photobucket.

So we've got them "on file" again, would anyone be happy to post their jackets pics? I'm sure there has to be a bunch of nicely broken in ones by now...!

cheers, Yo. :)

I would like to see some pics of this as well (unless I'm missing a joke here). They're not advertised on the site. Do they cost the same as a regular custom?

Yeah, cow would be great too as apparently the drape is very similar - I for one would be really interested in how different the two hides affect the look. It is listed on the site if you click on the little drop-down thingy.

no.. I wasn't joking... I just felt I was hijacking a thread so I could see the washed cow. I saw a couple of pictures of it and I have to say that it looked like one most SA jacket I've seen... in those photos. And, yes, they cost the same at $499.

Hijack away pal - my thoughts exactly. I thought given all this T.N. business about SA, for my next jacket I'd like to just get one that's just exactly RIGHT without any prompting. And yeah, I know, don't we all...

Hope these help. This is my Todd's custom in the prewashed lamb. I LOVE this jacket. I'm having another made for me, this time in the regular new unwashed lambskin.

Cool. I wasn't expecting it to have that light predistressed look to it. So the regular lamb you're getting - has it replaced this style of leather at Todd's?

Platon, the pants are the old MBA Costumes pants. I had Noel custom make me a pair to my specs. Yojimbo, Todd still offers the prewashed lamb, I just wanted a regular "new" finish lambskin. The jacket I have now is actually quite dark in normal lighting. The prewashed lamb is a great skin. Very soft and very comfortable.

I have a few questions, please? How does this jacket compare with the Standard in terms of thickness of the leather--light, quality, fit, etc? What is the lining made of, same as the standard?

The leather is outstanding. It is definitely thicker than the standard, more substantial as well. It is very soft and as I said before it is darkly colored in natural lighting. The fit, well the fit is pretty #### good as it was custom made to my measurements. I believe the lining to be cotton, kind of similar to Wested's but not quite. Todd really makes a great product in all areas:accuracy, fit, durability etc. I can't say enough for his Raiders jacket. I'm having another made right now as we speak if that tells you anything. You can't go wrong with his jacket.

The thread is a bit old but I don't wanted to show off opening a new thread for my Todd's Custom jacket in Cowhide.
It's a size 42.
The jacket is now 1,5 years old. Very often worn.

Very nice jacket. I think that the color of all the Todd's I've seen is spot on. I notice that a member's newer jacket had the bigger collar (close to what Holt has on his Wested Raiders) and your's is the more standard collar I've seen on most Todd's. Is this a recent pattern change?
