Indy, can you do the same jacket but without the fur on the cuffs and change the fur color to brown? How much would that be?

That's what I've been doing since it's been getting cold here in NC, only I wear long johns, then a button-down shirt, then a sweater, then my Todd's jacket. It's worked great.

Absolutely, not a problem. The price will be the same.

Great... now we'll have the brown/blue debate! :? ;-)

Those B-3/Irvin jackets are really nice. I've always like them but where I live in CA I would never have the opportunity to wear them.

At least a lamb Indy --I know I can wear for the better part of 6 months.

I took this shot today. I recently "tweaked" the outfit and just wrapped the scarf around my neck and under my jacket. ;)

I just couldn't see indy doing the fuzzy fur lined jacket thing. I would peg him as more of a layer kind of guy (as we've seen in YIJ) with a cardigan and a scarf.

I would go with the layers idea also. I have a comrade here who served in the Aleutians and he said "If you're cold you can always add another layer, if you're too hot you can never undress past naked." It was more or less a reason as why he didn't request postings for the "Normal" Army posts, but still it makes sense for this as it is a period only a few years off from the Raiders/LC timeframe.

I picked up one of these Guide Gear shearling jackets back when The Mummy III came out for my winterized Rick O'Connell look, but it is a bit long in the sleeves. The bigger problem is, I need someone from up north to send a truckload of snow to my front yard so I can get a winter photo. It was a blazing 83 F today! Amazon says it is not currently available.

You're always welcome to come over here - we had some really heavy snowfall lately. Actually as much as I have not often seen before in Berlin. And I was already about to change from "B3" mode to Indyjacket mode ... ;)

Danke, Jens,

My girlfriend's family still lives in a town near Dortmund, or near to Frankfurt. I was there 2 years ago with her, but it was in May and the weather was pleasant.

I got to thinking does snow get in the tops of the Aldens or do you think Indy would use something like mil-surplus leggings? Or something else. :-k

If you tie your Aldens tight, they fit flush to your ankles, so snow wouldn't be able to get in. Add wool socks to that, and you will get NO snow in your boots at all.

I'm thinking I'm aiming for one of these as we are thinking of moving to colder climates soon, and with winter around the corner faster than one can anticipate. Hopefully I'll be working by then.

As far as boots, I would think he would be prepared & have something like this for long term snow travel.

Cheers!
