Finished my LC bag strap and buckle (pics).
I know it's a bit trivial, but I'm so pleased with the outcome of this strap and buckle, very SA, IMO.
The strap is just under 1 inch in width, and comfortably accommodates the buckle.
The buckle itself was found at a local saddlery, this particular type is used in equestrian competition as part of the rider's stirrup. (There are two pics - one close up view and one overview)
Cheers,
JTW.

Thanks guys,
I understand Magnoli has produced something similar which is available to buy. www.magnoliclothiers.com
I just thought I'd have a go at making one myself after stumbling across the buckle at my local saddlery.
By the way, the full length of the strap is 60".

Hi,
to answer your question, the bag came from http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/image ... AS-BAG.jpg Apparently they still have a limited stock of these.
It is an unissued MkVll, you can just see the old date stamp '43' on the inside of the flap.
Cheers,
JTW.

That's potentially quite a steal for US buyers (depending on the cost of carriage) given the relative weakness of the pound.jones the whip wrote:Hi,
