Dirty Fedoras

My brother and I found an opening to a cave and went in to explore, I had my AB handy and he recently got a Stetson 3 forks which he had with him, so in we went. Unfortunately caves are dirty and the top of our fedoras kept rubbing against the ceiling and getting mold or soot on them. I brushed most of it off with my hand and am leaving the rest as memorabilia, but my brother is wondering the best way to get his clean. Any suggestions?

I think your brother can clean his hat with a good hat brush (I remember Pennman or Todd can sell it). ;-)

Reeeeally love the pic - it's soo nice... And when I see something like that, I just HAVE to photoshop it in some way... Well, here is the result!

Actually, the original is waaaay better that this piece of photoshopped horror - sorry, I just could'nt resist it... Maybe I should get some form of therapy

I got some brake dust on my Fed IV the other day from stupidity. I was able to get it off with a little Resolve carpet cleaner sprayed on a paper towel and then lightly rubbed over the spot until it was gone. I kept moving the spot on the paper towel so as not to just rub the dust into the hat.

You can't tell anything happened now.

I replaced the rotting exterior or my garden shed today while wearing my Fed4. It's now wonderfully weathered. Why clean it?

Because mold has a tendency to spread, and is very unhealthy - but other than that, I see no reason

a hat brush, or a good reblocking if it is really dirty.
