I'm not sure but I think you're talking about a Cooper Jacket that was sold years ago and made of a pretty tough cowhide leather (although I'm prepared to be corrected on that matter by those here who are far more "in the know" on the subject of Indy jackets than I am.)
:notworthy:
(And given that the lining of mine (just a flat brown cotton lining) is different, maybe I'm WAAAY off base...)
:-k
But if it IS a Cooper, for me it's actually a pretty wild coincidence that you bring this up because it was just within the last 2 weeks that I pulled my old Cooper out of my closet (bought it about 15 years ago) and gave it a good look...
I can't believe how WELL it's aged... Although it DID look a bit "thirsty" so I put some leather dressing on it an Voila! Now, the thing is downright beautiful!
:)
It always was a little bit big for me though - it's more of a "roomy 42R" than a "snug 42R" - so I'm actually going to put it in the Bazaar once I take a few photos of it this weekend.
(It's TOO handsome to not slap it onto the back of a C.O.W. Member who loves a nice jacket with TONS of character! I CAN'T deny this thing a good home!)
:whip:
You should definitely post a few photos of this jacket of yours, though.
All the Best,
Mitch

dr. hij, i'm in agreement with mitch...sounds like an old coop....michaelson could probably confirm as he is well versed with the 'cooper' age.......from my readings on the board of course.

Actually, _ and Minnesota Jones are more of the old school Cooper experts.

WELL DONE, Mac!
You posted Drhenryindianajones' jacket in the bottom photo and MINE in the top!

Mysteries solved!

(But, I'm STILL gonna take a few photos this weekend and post 'em, G!
The jacket looks so nice in it's "old age" I want to have some record of it before I let it go...)

(I just hope my wife doesn't feel the same way about ME...)

But you both forgot to mention:
She'd also say...
"He's Screen Accurate"
and
"while I'd rather let someone here at C.O.W. give him a good home, if I don't get any offers in a week, it's off to eBay!"
:)
Thanks for the laughs, gents...
Have a good night.

....also "he's closer to the last film in accuracy than the first three. Like a good Tony Nowak jacket, someone 'beat the @#$% out of him' in use.....' :[ ;-)

I can't believe it took THIS long to get around to actually post a couple of photos... but here's a few shots of this well-worn (and well-loved) jacket.

She's up for sale in the Cairo Bazaar now, though...

I've got plenty of coats and jackets to keep me covered and this one just doesn't get to see the light of day that often anymore...it's only fair that someone else enjoy a few adventures of their own with it.

Hope you enjoyes a look at this great jacket that aged so well...
(Feelin' kinda' melancholy, now...)
:?
All the Best,
Mitch

Have you seen this thread for the jacket ad?....

That one might be tough to part with. The long yolk (side view) sort of confirms it was a Cooper. I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on the ToD pattern, even though these were made after LC.
