Todd's Shirt Buttons

Post by McFly »

Anybody have any buttons come off? I've just had 2 come off this week... :x

I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen. Just curious!

Shane,

I've put so much stress on the shirt that one of the epauplet buttons fell off. (HEHE) The rest are looking rather thinly attached. I just picked up some darker buttons today at a film industry tailoring supply store. I did have to buy a large bag of them though. Once I got in there they told me that they sold fabric to the Mummy and Crystal Skull Production companies. Naturally, I asked for the shirt fabric. No luck!

If the buttons themselves are intact then no big deal. If they are breaking then something is amiss.

My buttons are fine. No differance then any other shirt that I own. I been wearing my shirt 2 or 3 times a week for about 6 weeks now.

Huh... well I'm not sure if I'm just especially demanding of my shirts or if maybe I just got unlucky with the stitching on mine, but it should be fine now (except the lady used WHITE thread on one of the buttons!).

If I knew how to sew I would be all over those buttons! But alas, I don't have that skill. It does stand out a little... but I actually used a colored pencil to darken the thread a little.

That's ok, I had my Mom show me how years ago, that way when I needed to I could sew simple things like that.. I've never done anything except buttons.

A couple of the buttons on my 1st "generation" Todds shirt fell off after repeated trips to the washer/dryer. That shouldn't have happened, but I blame it on weak sowing.

The new "generation" shirts are much better. No problems in that department.
