I couldn't venture a guess, but it is a handsome hat. I'll look forward to the maker being revealed. Then I'll know how much I have to save for ANOTHER hat.
Good looking hat!

That was my guess also. The color and ribbon color are dead on for the new Keppler.

Somehow it reminds me of my old Indiana Miller, especially the brim, but with a new ribbon.

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

It is indeed an Indiana Miller that I replaced the ribbon with a Todd's.

Good Job Tremolo, I figured it would just take someone who actually owns a Miller to identify it!

Thanks G! It was my first attempt at doing a ribbon, I was quite pleased at how it turned out too. I half used Dalexs' tutorial and half copied what I saw on my AB. It really wasn't that hard once you understand the concept. I don't consider myself sewing inclined at all, so don't be afraid to replace your ribbons. The Indiana Miller is a really great looking LC hat once you replace that danged shiny ribbon!

And it´s also a great Young Indy fedora, especially if you can get an 49mm ribbon.

Your ribbon looks really good squidkidd!

The ribbon is nothing like the Kepler. The kepler is a hat ribbon with an edge to the ribbon. Where the Todds ribbon is not a true hat ribbon. It has no edge to it. Look again at it.

Oh, Dave I understand. It's just very hard to tell the color when it comes to a photo but the edge of the ribbon screams to me.

The Todd replacement ribbon is close in color only. It has a raw edge and it's not a true hat ribbon.

Most hatters either go with a lighter color then whats really needed for a Indy hat or go with Black ribbon. You can get the color closer if you go with something other than a hat ribbon.

Thats why The AB, ABD and now AB "Henry" has such a great look to it because it's a true hat ribbon and the right color. It also doesn't have a high sheen to it like most modern ribbons.

I'm not sure but when I put the two ribbons together they look the same. I might have stumbled onto it by accident.

I can't see a difference either. I don't have my AB yet, but I have seen another COW member's AB and the ribbons are identical. Anyway, back to the thread topic. That is a nice looking Miller. You don't see too many of them here these days. I know they were popular a while ago. I guess like everything else here (except ABs and ABDs) their popularity swings like a pendulum.
