A Very Quick Webley Question....

Post by Minnesota Jones »

Just wondering, did Indy's Webley have a brown handle, or was it painted black to match the gun? I just got Todd Kennedy's replica and it's black. I think the Webley's came both ways but wondering about Indy's. Thanks.

Hi Minnesota, I asked this same question when I got my replica a few weeks ago. Dr. Brody said that all standard Webley grips are black but he said he had seen some turn SLIGHTLY brown with age. As far as you can tell from the movie they look black to me but its hard to tell.Maybe someone with a real Webley can chime in. Hope that answers your question.
Cheers, Alex

Thanks. Since I'm here at work, no VCR  so I'll have to wait to get home and pop in the ol' video. Then I'll know the answer for sure....
unless HF hides the grip everytime we see it.

I concur with Dr. Brody's words.
