Finding custom-made holster replicas?

Post by Castor Dioscuri »

Does anybody know if there are any vendors that make (or are willing to make) Indy holsters (and belts to go along with the holster) for different gun types? I recently picked up a Walther PPK/S (and am planning on picking up an Indy piece soon), but I don't think it will fit in any of the holsters... So for people in my situation that really like the look of the holster and belt, but have guns that won't fit, any advice? ;)

Also, considering that Indy's gun constantly changes throughout the trilogy, I'm guessing this is a good question, and also should explain why getting an Indy gun isn't top priority for my gearhead needs :P Heck, it seems that any revolver from the 1930s-40s should do the trick!

Have you looked for the issue police/military holster for the Walther?

The issued equipment from the '30s would be period correct and have the right "field holster" look, you could even use your Indy belt with the proper holster.

Just do a search for Walther ppk holster on eBay. I did that and there are several genuine (non-replica) holsters available. They come with authentic real-world distressing.

I did think about that, but overall, I prefer the clean, streamlined look of Indy's holster, and I just wouldn't be able to get over the chilling thought that an Aryan Nazi might once have worn the same holster... But I mainly base my decision on just liking Indy's holster the best ;)

Of course, for a PPK, I'm guessing the holster would end up looking like a mini Indy holster? :P
